Tui Manuel founder of Urban Beat and pioneer of Hip Hop dance in Aotearoa. Self taught and origianl to the bone Tui has continued to progress as a strong, professional performer and choreographer. Having worked, performed and choreographed alongside such people as Busta Rhymes, Missy Elliot, Jamelia, Crazy Frog, Dei Hamo, K-Lee, Theo, Black Eyed Peas, D12 and Chingy Tui is truly a superstar and recognised as a hard working professional in the dance industry.
With Apperances on various T.V shows such as Downsize Me, Honey were killing the Kids, Flipside, Mai Time, So you think you can dance, Tu te puehu, Pukana and Juice TV to name a few, Tui is highly regarded as the number one Hip Hop choreographer in Aotearoa. With an original style all of her own creativity and self taught dance and teaching skills, she holds her own as one of the most well known professional Hip Hop dancer/choreographer in New Zealand.
From having no knowledge of dance at all, to building her own dance company Urban Beat, forming her own self taught dance style, becoming a saught after choreographer and performer and putting together a solid crew of adult and kid dancers, Tui is a real pioneer of Hip Hop dance.
Although Tui is a busy professional who continually teaches and travels all over New Zealand, appearing on T.V, holding workshops in small communities and teaching her own dance classes right in the heart of south Auckland, Tui maintains that her main passion and love is dance itself.
Having a true passion and love for dance and having the skills to teach both young and old the disciplines and techniques she has self developed, Tui appreciates the oppurtunity she has to teach Hip Hop Dance in a correct and professional manner.
